The word "kareem" originates from the Arabic language and means "generous" or "giving."
"Al" is Arabic for "the;" therefore, the translation of "Al-Kareem" is "the generous or giving."

Al-Kareem Foundation is improving the lives of people and animals around the world. Our projects provide a healthy habitat with basic necessities such as food, clean water, and energy along with education, training and employment so people can lead sustainable lives free from poverty and oppression in harmony with nature.

We encourage the traditional arts while integrating appropriate technologies to transform social and economic structures.

Through our Store Front, Kashmir-Rose, we provide a market for handmade crafts, decor, and garments. 50% of the profits from Kashmir Rose directly help support AKF's education, vocational training, job creation, and endangered snow leopards programs in Kashmir.

Through our TACP-network, we provide technical assistance to organizations around the world protecting endangered species and other animals from illegal poaching.

This foundation is created to help rebuild lives of individuals in distress. We are very grateful for the opportunity to help bring positive change and a brighter future. We are very thankful to all of our generous donors. Without your support, we could not have made this happen.
